Introduction
Syxon ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-native operating system and related services.
Local-first and opt-in features
Syxion is private-by-default and local-first:
- Your content (ions, notes, relations) is processed on-device and stored locally by default.
- Cloud assist is optional and off by default. When enabled, requests are redacted and sanitized before sending to a provider; responses are sanitized before UI render.
- Encrypted backups are optional. Backups are encrypted client-side; keys are not stored with the data.
- Telemetry is optional and minimal (e.g., an opt-in “minutes saved” prompt). No content is collected.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us. This may include:
- Account information (email, username)
- Usage data and preferences
- Content you create or upload
- Communication with our support team
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our services
- Personalize your experience
- Communicate with you about updates and features
- Ensure security and prevent fraud

Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is processed with privacy-first principles, including edge processing and local-first design where possible.
Storage & Retention
Local data is stored on your device using secure local storage mechanisms. Optional encrypted backups can be created by you; encryption keys are not stored with the backup. Retention is user-controlled. When you delete local content, associated backups may persist until you delete or overwrite them.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use only essential cookies/local storage for session and settings. No third‑party trackers are embedded in product surfaces. Any analytics is strictly opt‑in.
Telemetry & Analytics (opt‑in)
We may offer privacy‑preserving telemetry such as “minutes saved.” Content is never collected. You can change telemetry preferences at any time in settings.
International Transfers
If you enable cloud assist, your data may be processed by providers in their regions subject to their safeguards (for example, SCCs/DPAs). We list active providers and regions in product documentation.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Processing Indicators
The UI clearly indicates whether processing is happening locally or in the cloud. Cloud escalation is explicit and accompanied by redaction and policy guards.
Data Subject Requests
To exercise rights or request export/deletion, contact privacy@syxon.org. For cloud‑processed data (if any), we will forward requests to relevant providers as required.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as described in this policy or as required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information

- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
